Filtration Principle
The AK-MFm membrane microfilter is an independent and integrated cleaning equipment. The water to be treated enters through the inlet tank and is introduced onto a rotating drum with a folded filter screen (the mesh size of the filter cloth can be as small as 10 microns). The drum rotates slowly, forming a filter cake membrane on the filter cloth, which further improves filtration efficiency. When the filter cake reaches the top of the drum, it is washed off by compressed air or high-pressure water into the internal recovery tank. The filter screen is then cleaned by a self-cleaning spray to enter the next filtration cycle.

The AK-MFm membrane microfilter avoids long-term damage to fibers, separates good fibers from unwanted fillers and particles for the next biochemical treatment process, and maintains low solid content to ensure the efficient operation of the wastewater treatment system.

The membrane microfilter can provide an automatic control system or be connected to the paper mill's DCS system for control.
