Product Functions

The AK-FAB.Monitor, mounted on a crosswise movable trolley beam, supports continuous online monitoring of fabric operation status. The measurement data provides curves and trend information on fabric moisture content and water permeability, facilitating improvements in fabric performance and paper quality. It can share the beam with the AK-CleanWet high-pressure fabric cleaning system to provide targeted guidance for cleaning operations.

By analyzing the measured data, the hydraulic pressure of the felt and the pressure between the press rolls are adjusted to optimal values, ensuring the best dewatering effect of the press felt.

Moisture Content Detection

To meet the fabric requirements of modern paper machine press sections and extend their service life, obtaining comprehensive fabric moisture content data is crucial. AK-FAB.Monitor uses microwave detection technology to measure felt moisture content based on changes in dielectric constant caused by different water contents in the fabric. The probe acquires data through contact with the fabric, and the contact surface is covered with ceramic to ensure long-term measurement accuracy.

Water Permeability Detection

To improve fabric service life and performance, excellent detection of clogging, wear, and washing effects is required. AK-FAB.Monitor uses a very narrow water beam to measure fabric air and water permeability, which can capture the smallest pores in both longitudinal and crosswise directions. It captures water flow via ultrasonic waves, and by measuring felt water permeability, it easily identifies clogging and wear, providing complete data for further analysis and enabling optimization of adjustment, dewatering, and paper quality.
